Unlike other after school clubs for 5 year olds, we allow the students to create the plan, where we promote teamwork and corporation to design the activities. This way, they will be more interested to take part as it’s something that they have created themselves. We promote an open range of both the indoors and outside area, meaning that they can have a fun time while learning with us. Some days, our teachers may set a specific plan or focus, where we will teach or test something new that they couldn’t do during the day at the school.
We understand that when your child attends an after school club for 5 year olds, they are already tired and worn out from a whole day at school. This is why we are more than happy to provide snacks and refreshments, making sure that they are full of energy to get through the evening. Our team will also promote the full allowance of the cosy area, where there is a selection of sofas and cushions so that they can relax and chill out even while still on the school premises.
Just like during an average day at school, we will continue to record and observe the children's progress while attending the after school club, where we will create a journal of development. We will include information such as what they have been doing during the club, the activities that they have taken part in, and who they have interacted with. We then can use all of this knowledge for the future, so that we can design additional prepared projects and activities that will be tailored towards them to further enhance their learning and personal development.
