After School Club for Kids

Fortunately, we are able to operate the Hazlewood Out of School Club within the Hazlewood Community Primary School, resulting in us having access to a wide selection of facilities to host a fun and engaging environment. During our after school club for kids, we look to host an open session atmosphere, where we often allow the children to take charge of the sessions. By doing this, we will be able to promote independence, interaction with others and confidence as they will be able to continue their development outside of nursery and school. Occasionally the teachers may have a specific plan prepared, though this is often to test new ideas or workshops that can then be used during the day at nursery.
Despite this style, our after school club for kids will always be supervised and run by a highly experienced team. These include teachers that have Level 3 Diplomas, B-Tech and NVQ Level 3 within teaching, as well as having a wealth of experience within the profession. Before new tutors join our team, they will also undertake various training courses including first aid, child protection and equal opportunities to ensure that they are prepared to work within our environment.
We understand that the children may be tired after a day of learning, which is why we look to create a comfortable and chilled out environment so that they can relax whilst with us. The kids will have full access to the cosy area which includes a selection of sofas and cushions so that they can rest and unwind. There will also be a supply of refreshments and snacks that are all healthy and full of the required nutrients, ensuring that they continue to grow and develop at such a young age.
